Holly Parrish, PT, DPT

Picture
Holly Parrish was born and raised in Rockingham, North Carolina, where she attended Richmond Senior High School and played JV and varsity soccer. She was accepted to UNC-Greensboro and during her first week of college, she became interested in physical therapy while observing her father with Home Health PT after a total knee replacement. In 2005, Holly graduated with her BS in Sports Medicine. She was accepted into Elon University’s DPT program and on her 6 month clinical rotation, met Terry Young, her clinical instructor. In Dec. 2008, Holly graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. For 5 years, she worked for Carolina PT Associates as a contract employee for Sandhills Regional Medical Center and Sandhills Rehabilitation. She participated in health fairs and community services and within 2 years, became manager of the physical therapy department.
Holly maintained contact with Terry and in August 2013, was hired by Aberdeen Physical Therapy and Wellness. She became interested in dry needling and completed 56 hours of continuing education, which she uses as an adjunct to her physical therapy treatment programs. Her interests in clinical care include Vestibular Dysfunction, low back pain and lower extremity injury/surgery. Holly has been a member of the APTA for 8 years.
In her spare time, Holly spends time with her husband and two children, is involved with the church she attends (Glenwood Baptist Church), and enjoys reading, crocheting, cooking and sports.
